Why Halal Certificate is needed?

In the past, there were few processed foods. Generally, Muslims can judge whether the food is halal or legal based on the appearance, and try to avoid foods with unknown ingredients. However, with the rapid development of processing technology, advancement of refrigeration equipment and advanced transportation, processed foods from various countries are available everywhere, which are inevitable consumer goods in daily life.

Although many of these processed foods have ingredient labels, the laws and regulations of different countries may not require all ingredients to be listed in detail; secondly, the ingredients labeled are either professional names or manufacturer-specific product names. The general public may not know whether an ingredient is acceptable. Food; Thirdly, some of the combined labeling ingredients contain several raw materials. Therefore, it is difficult to judge whether a product is suitable for Muslims only by looking at the product ingredient label.

Therefore, there has been a demand for halal certification internationally in the past two decades. Most local Muslim institutions combine religious scholars with food and nutrition professionals to take the responsibility of inspecting and auditing food manufacturing to serve the food industry and the Muslim public.

Generally, products that have passed the certification of halal food products can be authorized to mark the mark of halal ( حلال ), so that Muslim consumers know that they can eat the product with peace of mind.
